Mahopac High School sophomore Cira Graap recently represented the Epilepsy Foundation in Washington, D.C. as part of the Teens Speak Up program. Graap, who has absent seizures, emphasized the importance of recognizing the signs of epilepsy and advocating for those affected. She encouraged teenagers to be strong and open about their condition, highlighting the impact of overcoming adversity. Graap will continue her advocacy work by promoting "Seizure Safe Schools" and collaborating with organizations to support individuals with epilepsy.
