Every New Jersey native knows the plight of laying out their beach towel, getting cozy in the sand and then seeing the badge checker approaching to collect their fee. And while $7 to $12 doesn’t seem so bad every once in a while, the costs quickly add up for large families or anyone looking to head down the shore a few times this summer. But fear not my fellow beachgoers; not every shore spot has a cost of admittance. Here are 13 New Jersey beaches that are free to lounge on all summer long.

The Wildwoods Beaches – Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and North Wildwood, NJ

Perhaps the most family-friendly on the list, all three of the Wildwoods New Jersey beaches are free to visitors. There is plenty to do from day to night for those of all ages, thanks to the adjacent boardwalk packed with rides and games.
