Steak. It brings on more than just a craving but a primal urge that harkens back to the carnivorous ways of the early human race. A steak dinner is something most of us consider to be a splurge yet one totally worth the price tag.

That's where Cheapism comes in. The team at Cheapism.com, a website devoted to uncovering discounts on food, travel, etc. and hidden gems, just completed a quest to find the best under-the-radar steakhouses in every U.S. state.
While Cheapism's choice of New York state's most underrated steakhouse has roots in New York City and as far reaching as Japan, it also has a location right here in The Hudson Valley, which means we don't have to go very far to sink our teeth into one of their cuts of beef.
The best under-the-radar steakhouse, according to Cheapism.com, is Benjamin Steakhouse, with a restaurant in Westchester County at 610 Hartsdale Road in White Plains.
The passion project is that of two Albanians, both named Benjamin, who came to be family through marriage. They happen to be brothers-in-law. Cheapism applauds Benjamin Steakhouse particularly for their exceptional signature tomahawk steak and their offerings of steak large enough for a party of up to four to share.
