Lakeland Central School District Superintendent named one of NSPRA’s 25 Superintendents To Watch!
Dr. Karen Gagliardi is the only New York State superintendent to receive the honor from the National School Public Relations Association this year.
Shrub Oak, NY—Dr. Karen Gagliardi, the first woman to lead the Lakeland Central School District, has been named a “Superintendent to Watch” by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for 2024-2025. The only superintendent to receive the honor in New York State, Dr. Gagliardi was recognized for her visionary leadership and transformative communication strategies, making communication a central pillar of her administration and leadership team, with a strong focus on timely and transparent communications for the public.
“Honorees are school district leaders who have fewer than five years of experience as a superintendent and who demonstrate dynamic, fast-paced leadership with strong communication at its core,” according to NSPRA. “They use communication technology in innovative and effective ways to engage and inform their school communities.”
