Every dog must have its day. For a few puppies here in New York, that's Super Bowl Sunday. Seven adorable and adoptable tiny canines from The Empire State will be looking to score on the turf of Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl XXI. It's literally the most adorable way to pre-game before the AFC and NFC champs play for the Lombardi Trophy. What's better than swooning over a bunch of sweet, cute, clumsy pups trying to take a plush football over the goal line? So, look out Chiefs and Eagles, Team Fluff and Team Ruff, representing four different New York animal rescues, are putting their best paws forward to bring home the LomBARKY Trophy.
Brother and sister Aloe and Ziggy hit the Puppy Bowl XXI field fresh from The Hudson Valley's own Paws Crossed Animal Rescue in Westchester! See them spotlighted in the video below!
Roll over, Beethoven! Get a look at this adorable Great Pyrenees mix representing Best Friends Animal Society in New York City.
Then there's Carl! A Bulldog mix surrendered to Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue in New York City by a puppy mill.

See more photos of Carl here! Carl's friend Trio, a Boston Terrier will also be representing Louie's Legacy during Puppy Bowl XXI.
Rounding out the seven New York pups participating in Puppy Bowl XXI are Paws Allen, a Labrador Retriever mix from Buffalo's Buddy's Second Chance, and Enrique, a Min Pinscher mix from The Sato Project in Brooklyn.
Hopefully, these puppies, the animal rescues they represent, and watching Puppy Bowl XXI Sunday, February 9th at 2 p.m. on Animal Planet will inspire you to adopt, not shop and give a deserving dog their fur-ever home.
